Quote from Character: (hope you don’t mind me using three quotes) “There are no heroes in war. All the heroes I know are either dead... or in prison. One or the other.”, “I'm just a man who's good at what he does. Killing. There's no winning or losing for a mercenary. The only winners in war are the people.”, and "I'm no hero... Never was. I'm just an old killer... Hired to do some wet work."
Name: “Solid Snake” real name is David (never given a last name)
Age: 42 (chronologically), 70 (biologically)
Origin: Metal Gear
Alignment: Hero
Personality: It is hard to get a good read on Snake’s personality because he rarely shows any emotion and when he does it is very little. He seems like a complete hardass when brutally training soldiers, often injuring them, but he does that so they are better prepared for the field of battle. Snake shows no mercy towards his enemies unless he is ordered to but will always let his enemy speak any final words they have. Also despite wanting to use methods that could be considered evil, Snake always has good intentions and no matter what anyone says or how they try to justify it he cannot see himself as a hero.
Picture:
(He also has a nasty burn that covers most of the left side of his face but I can’t find a picture of it)
History: Snake first appeared in Metal Gear, which was created by Hideo Kojima, for the MSX2 computer system, which was only released in Japan and parts of Europe, in 1987 but an extremely dumbed down version was released for the NES in 1988. Snake played a special forces commando sent to infiltrate a rogue nation and destroy a new nuclear threat called Metal Gear but found out at the end that his commanding officer was the leader of the rogue nation and was forced to kill the man he saw as his father.
Metal Gear was originally supposed to be just a single game but when Kojima heard an unofficial sequel was made he decided to make Metal Gear 2 and end it there. Then he made Metal Gear Solid and that was supposed to be the last game and finally Metal Gear Solid 2, Snake was a main character but only briefly playable, was supposed to be the last game despite having a massive cliff hanger (notice a trend here?). There was a Snake in Metal Gear Solid 3 but not Solid Snake.
Snake was getting tired of being in game after game, so when he heard after Metal Gear Solid 4 he was being official retired as a character (meaning Kojima asked if Metal Gear games are keep being made at least don’t use Solid Snake) and Snake was happy. His joy ended about a year and half ago when Kojima announced Metal Gear Solid 5 but if he was lucky he didn’t have to return for that game.
Snake tried to stay out of the war since he was starting to enjoy the fact that he was retired. He changed his mind when Mario asked him to be a general in the army and took the offer figuring he would get involved eventually anyway.
Plans: To be a complete badass (If anyone has ideas just talk to me I’m open for almost anything). I hope somebody would claim Dr. Hal "Otacon" Emmerich.
Sample Post: All Snake could do was shake his head at how pathetic the new recruits were. Snake wondered how they would be ever be able to win this war when so few recruits had the guts to kill anyone. “Listen up rookies, the next thing I’m going to try and teach you is how to use a handgun and then we will follow up will rifle training. Now pick up a handgun,” Snake ordered the new recruits. “Aw man I wanted to learn that CQC thing,” one of the recruits said obviously disappointed. Snake, pissed at this recruit's attitude, obliged by disarming the recruit, throwing a few punches, and throwing the recruit onto the ground in a very quick session. “You want to learn CQC? Sharpen your reflexes first, rookie”
