(ooc: March 1st, going on the same time as Welcome to War. Open to all Villains.)
The scatterbrain jester appeared in a flash as he found himself in the main base that the Villains had rebuilt from scrap material that once belonged to old video game stages. "~My, my what an interesting sight.~" Dimentio had commented, his trademark grin still planted so firmly on his two-toned face. He continued to float around a bit more, still grinning widely and mood as carefree as usual.
He continued to float around for a bit more, before haulting in place and turned around at the sound of footsteps. Still smiling with sunshine and and spirits upbeat, the jester spoke. "Ciao my friend, I take it your here to fight with the Villains too?" He asked, sounding curious.

"Sheesh. This place has more twists and turns than the Daath cathedral and Eldrant combined. How's anybody supposed to figure this place out?" Sync grumbled. He had been walking around for who knew how long, and it was starting to frustrate the teenager that he didn't know his way around at all. He'd probably learn it after a week or so, but for the time being he was lost and irritated. Green eyes were fixated on the floor and his hands were shoved in his pockets. Sync wasn't entirely paying attention at that point, so he didn't notice Dimentio appear until after he had spoken.
Sync stopped upon hearing the jester and looked up. One eyebrow rose slightly, but beyond that he didn't appear terribly fazed by what he was seeing. There were stranger video game characters out there. In response to the question, Sync just shrugged.
"Depends. At this point, I'm just fighting with this lot because I have nothing better to do and no better options." Sync replied. That much was true enough. As long as he saw his existence as meaningless, Sync really didn't have anything better to do and had nowhere better to go.

Charming smile still curled on his face, Dimentio slowly flew a bit closer to the young male. "Haha, my you are a cynical boy aren't you?" He asked him, voice airy as usual. "Nothing better to do, may I ask what may that be?" He asked, voice slicked with agreeableness as he stopped before Sync.
"Aha, where are my manners. My name is Dimentio, the Master of Dimensions. You may recognize me from the game Super Paper Mario?" He formally debuted himself, his hopes leaning towards the Sync had never heard his name before. "And you, you seem a bit familiar my lad..." His voice trailed thinking of where he had seen the teen or any character vaguely resembling his design.
He snapped his fingers. "Oh, that's right you from the Tales of Abyss game aren't you?" He asked, perhaps seeming to knowledgeable of the topic at hand.

Another shrug. Sync was true enough to his character, believing himself worthless in spite of the fact that it was just a part he played in the RPG he had been made for. "I don't have anything specific to fight for. Not my existence, not anyone I care about... I'm just a soldier. Always have been." Sync replied. Just a soldier who hated the world about as much as he believed it hated him.
He had to smirk a little when Dimentio guessed where he was from, though. Sync hadn't expected anyone to know that much. "You're right about that much. Didn't think anyone would recognize where I was from. Sync the Tempest is what I'm called." he said. He was aware of the Mario series as well. Who in the gaming world wasn't? Mario was practically a staple, after all. He just hadn't been able to identify Dimentio right away because he was less aware of the Paper Mario portion of the series.

"Well that's great kid, you must be one of those 'indie underground hipsters' if you say nobody's going to recognize you. Thankfully, I just arrived, and everyone with half a brain cell recognizes yours truly."
Another voice popped up, a voice belonging to none other than Handsome Jack. His two-tone eyes had spotted a pair speaking with each other, presumably about the war. At least, Jack had assumed it was about war. He arrived a little late in the conversation, but considering how this seemed like the kind of place 'villains' hung out around, Jack was sure they were talking about the war.
"You guys heard about the war, right? I'd assume this is where the villains are hanging out at. Personally, I hate the term villain. It's just so cliché, if you ask me. Antagonist is a much better word, but hey, that's just me. Kids these days just use the worst vocabulary, am I right?"

Dimentio just continued to glare at the youth with interest. He would've fit perfectly with Count Bleck's army considering his sour perspective on his own life. The jester was about to speak again, only to have another voice cut him off.
"Hmm?" His merry expression strayed to where Jack was, another familiar face to his eyes. "Aha, why of course I've heard about this war. What would be the other reason for us being here?" Dimentio replied with a joyful yet calm tone of voice. "My, interesting word selection you have my friend. Antagonist that sounds more classier than being labeled a "Villain." He finished, pausing a brief second before speaking again. "Handsome Jack from Boderderland 2 am I correct?" He asked the man, still rather intrigued about his new comrades in war.

Sync simply decided to disregard the hipster remark. He was mainly referring to how, in spite of fans, the Tales series still seemed somewhat unknown. But that was something he decided not to remark upon. He could have easily made a snide remark about not knowing who Jack even was, but two things stopped the otherwise pessimistic teen. The first was the fact that Dimentio had spoken up and revealed who he was, meaning the remark would have lost its edge, and the second reason was the fact that another figure had entered.
"Well, well. Looks like I've got myself some interesting company here."
The voice belonged to the flamboyant redhead that was making his way down the hallway. Zelos must have been an odd sight to behold. Unlike Sync, he couldn't technically be classified as an antagonist. The majority of his game was spent with players believing he was on their side until they reached a crossroads, and Zelos knew that crossroad well. They would either make him into a boss to be killed or a friend to have on their side permanently. He believed he fell more into the category of boss, though. So, there he was. Betraying his friends for real and joining up with the villains.
"How's it going? Anything going on I need to know about?" Zelos asked.

"You can never be too sure about what a couple of random guys are doing around the Land of Nothing. And yes, I am the one and only Handsome Jack," Jack responded once the jester had recognized him. The man was quite happy that his term for villain was appreciated by at least one person in the slowly growing group, as well as being recognized. Because that's just what his ego needed. Handsome Jack would have continued on, but another presence had distracted him. Both blue and green eyes looked over to the newcomer.
"How's it going? Fine, fine, just wandering around here like completely normal people, but that's just fine. I finished off some pretzels. They sucked, by the way. In case you're a little late on this group gathering, you might want to know about the war going on. Just saying." Perhaps Jack wasn't in the best of moods at the time, or maybe he was just being Jack. One couldn't quite tell, but he obviously had a sour tone in his voice. He looked over the new male, trying to think up an opinion about him.
"That's an... Exotic choice of hair you have there. Same with the outfit."

"Step aside, peasants!"
Grumpy Rabbid was grumpy as he shoved past everyone else - at least, he shoved past everyone else's legs, being a great deal shorter than the others present. He folded his arms and glared up at the other villains with annoyed red eyes. "So, I suppose this rag-tag group is the villain side? Well, it will have to do-" he lowered his voice, "-as long as I get to make Rayman's life a misery and prove to everyone that I am worthy of much higher things in the video game world!"

"Well, thank you. I'm glad someone noticed." Zelos said. He wasn't going to try and defend his choice of clothing. Though the first person that inquired why he was wearing pink would get the response of 'It's salmon, not pink'. Then Robert arrived, and Sync decided to speak up.
"Great. We've got a jester, some guy named Jack, the king of flamboyant-"
"Watch it, Mr. Pessimistic." Zelos quipped. Sync just rolled his eyes and decided to continue, ignoring the remark of the redhead who seemed so intent on writing his fate for himself. Why bother with that? He'd probably just get himself killed.
"As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, we have a jester, a guy named Jack, Mr. Flamboyant, me, and a rabbid. That's just great." Sync stated. He hadn't missed Robert's arrival, and he didn't really intend on making nice with his supposed ally. If anything, Sync was going to try and avoid getting close to any of his allies. Making bonds wasn't his style. He'd bonded with his fellow God-Generals, sure, but that was different. That was necessary. Friendship and bonds here weren't necessary in the slightest.
"And yes. I was aware this was where we were supposed to meet for the war. So glad we all were able to figure that out." Sync said.
"And I have a name, you know. It's Zelos." Zelos added as an afterthought.

The merry spirited jester was about to speak once more only to have others show up. The debut group consisted of a redheaded male and a rabbid who seemed like a classy fellow, both characteristics quite familiar with Dimentio.
"Aha, more have come to join our ranks I see.~" Dimentio then floated closer to the others as he examined them, his expression still high. "You, you another creation from the same realm as the boy here?" The clown asked Zelos before glancing at Robert. "Oh, and you my friend are one of those Rabbid things from the Rayman franchise aren't you? Shouldn't you be frolicking around shouting random nonsense or something?" Dimentio quipped, still smirking as usual.

Robert shook an angry paw at Dimentio. "Now look here! I loathe that stereotype, and you have room to talk, frankly, jester!" A malicious, buck toothed smirk appeared under his moustache. "Why don't you entertain us some, as that's all jesters are good for!" He crossed his arms and chuckled quietly, clearly pleased with his little "victory".

"Us? From the same game? Hardly. Same series, different games." Zelos replied smoothly. He wouldn't have dared associate himself with Sync if they had come from the same realm. Auldrant could have the little pessimistic teenager, as he would rather have stayed in his own realm. But it seemed that fate had dictated they needed to work together. Joy of unspeakable joys...
Zelos wanted to say more, but he held his tongue and listened to Robert's little quips about how he hated being stereotyped as a rabid Rabbid. He smirked a little at that notion; so the little guy wasn't all that he appeared, either. Zelos had a feeling he was going to like Robert. Perhaps they were two of a kind after all.
"Sounds like you and I are in the same boat, then. Stereotyped because of the masks we're forced to wear. Am I right?" Zelos asked.

In response to Robert's remark, Dimentio didn't do much in fact. Unless one counted his usual upbeat expression something new, which was certainly nothing out of the ordinary. "Aha, bad tempered are we? But no worries friend, I was just doing some harmless teasing. Nothing to be upset about." Dimentio replied, hoping that the two of them were on good terms.
"Now, if you excuse me mine fine gentlemen. I have important business to attend with Bowser and Dr. Eggman." Lies. Blatant lies. The two leaders of the Villain alliance had their own problems to deal with, why would they bother with a silly hearted jester?
